If you love what you see here today, go follow Eric Dunkel on twitter! He does fantastic work, as you are about to see. He recently has released his "NHL Color Rush" series over the course of last month. He did a design for all 31 teams and they are all really good. But today I wanted to showcase my personal favorite. I picked 10, in no particular order and to be honest, it was hard to just pick 10. I will show you the jersey and talk about what I like about it. Simple enough right? Spoiler alert, I wish all of these were the team's main unis. So let's start it off with the jersey in the cover image.

The New Jersey Devils! Their jerseys are classic, well they were. They made some slight changes to them recently, while they didn't really ruin them, they didn't keep that same feel, to me at least. What they should do, is take this jersey right here and make a red and white version to go with it. This jersey is so good, I believe this would become the new "classic" jersey 50 years from now. That extra white stripe really adds that touch of uniqueness and it works so well. More so than I thought it would if you told me the design before I actually saw this.

The Ottawa Senators! I have hated their logo and their unis for as long as they went to the front-facing logo. I can't stand them at all. Like seriously. I HATE them so much. But this! This is beautiful! It brings back the side facing logo, front, and center! It implements the gold in the jersey, which the older version did not do. The gold stripes also have a pattern that is also on the logo itself. He also incorporated the Senators "O" logo right on the sleeves, as part of the stripes. These would be an enormous upgrade and I hope they somehow see this and contact this man to make it happen.

The Calgary Flames! I have long awaited the day that they went back to the red, yellow, and white unis. I can't stand the unis, ever since they incorporated black into their team color scheme. I don't hate them like I do the Senators, but I don't like them at all. This jersey brings back that great color scheme with a super cool design on the arm stripes. Adding the numbers right into the design of the stripe. It is executed perfectly. I can see these bring a huge hit if they created a full set of unis to become their full look going forward. One way or another, the Flames need to go back to this color scheme and ditch the black. It's time.

The Winnipeg Jets! I don't dislike their current unis, I actually think they are alright. BUT, I love their old ones much more. This jersey brings that old school feel back in a modern way. I don't usually like the stripe designs that run from the shoulders and down the sleeves, but here I think it works really well. I love the simple design on the shoulders and that logo is just... perfect! What can I say, I am an old school soul. Though the current logo is modern and made really well, this logo IS the Winnipeg Jets to me.

The Nashville Predators! Currently, they have the best logo and uniforms in THEIR history. I think both beat out anything they have had before them. That doesn't mean that they are great though. The logo they used for the Winter Classic game (the one on this jersey), was AMAZING! I believe THAT is what they need to move forward with. Eric grabbed that idea and put it to a beautiful design that would also become the best unis they would have ever worn. I absolutely LOVE the scratch marks on the sleeve stripes, and the small waste stripes are subtle, yet adds greatly to the design. I love that logo so much. THIS needs to happen. Just imagine a yellow and white version alongside it.

The Vancouver Canucks! Blue, green, and white have been one of my favorite color schemes since the Hartford Whalers became one of my favorite teams back in the day. The Canucks obviously went back to these colors in the 07-08 season, the first time they dawned these colors since the '78 season. So their unis are visually appealing to me. I don't mind their current logo either. I prefer the "C" logo over the current but it's not THAT big of a deal. However, I have always wondered what that alternate "V" logo would look like on a jersey and now I have my answer. I love it to be honest! I wouldn't mind seeing the whale logo be vaulted and have this and the "C" logo take center stage like this. I don't know why, but this feels more "Vancouver" to me. It is a great look and I love that stripe design that goes right across the whole body behind the logo and onto the sleeves. I can envision a blue and a white version easily. I think its time for them to move into a new direction, and this is it!

The Columbus Blue Jackets! A team I have barely been able to stand since they came into the league. I have NEVER liked their logos nor their uniforms. Ever. With exception of their "Cannon" blue alternate uni. That one I am okay with. But this jersey brings that to a whole new level! The stripe with stars on the bottom of the waist and sleeves are great, it keeps that "Blue Jackets" feel from teams past. The colors are great, the logo is nice, but what I love most about these jerseys are those sleeve designs! That old school military-esque design that speaks to the spirit of what the team is named after. These are fantastic and should be implemented yesterday.

The Dallas Stars! I think most will agree that the Stars current logo and unis are not the best they have ever had. This version of the Stars jersey brings it all the way back to the '90s! They wore this jersey from '95 to '99 before bringing on the star pattern jerseys. While this isn't an original design, it sure is a lot better than what they are rocking right now. I do see them coming back to this logo sometime in the future, and when they do, I honestly believe it will be something similar to what Eric has put up right here. At least I hope so. Even if they don't go back to the darker green and keep their current shade of green (which I hope they do), I think it will look really good.

The Florida Panthers! I think I may be in the minority when I say that I actually love their new look. I like their new logo and their uniform design. I know it is a completely different direction from where they were, but I think that was the point. However, I do agree that the pouncing panther is the iconic look for the franchise. It should be front and center on the jersey like it is here. The sun/palm tree/ hockey stick logos are back on the shoulders which were always great. But the jersey design itself is what puts this over the top! It is nothing like they have had before, and it works so well. That yellow-goldish, arc, stripe that runs over the midsection and sleeves look so cool. Especially with that subtle sun print, or what I believe is a sun design. Then you have the top and bottom of the jersey different colors. I believe would still work with a white jersey if you did white on top and bottom if you left a blue stripe on top and red stripe on the bottom of the arc. If you can imagine that in your head. These would be really cool to see on the ice.

The Arizona Coyotes! I think this franchise has struggled to find a look that defines them. It seems like they have not loved anything they have had in their history. But I feel like their current unis are the closest they have gotten to that mark. I like them, but I felt lost the opportunity to use the "tan", sand type color in their unis. This jersey right here hit all the marks that capture everything that the Coyotes are. I never loved the coyote head logo, but I thought the alternate "A Paw Print" logo is really cool. To see it as the primary logo on this jersey makes me want them to make the switch now! Not only that, but Eric used that sand color and added that iconic Coyotes stripe to the sleeves and waist. It is the perfect jersey for the Arizona Coyotes. From top to bottom.

And those are my 10 favorite jerseys from his Color Rush series. There were a lot of great ones and I urge you to go check out the other 21 jerseys on his twitter page and let him know how much you like or love your team's jersey concept! Which is your favorite?
