In this series, I will be looking back on each NFL team and picking out my favorite logo, uniform, moment, and player in the history of that team. Next up, the Arizona Cardinals.

When the Cardinals updated their look in the mid-2000s, they made their best logo in the history of their franchise. That logo, their current one, is head and shoulders better than the previous one. It is more defined, it looks fierce and it is just made better. Plain and simple. If they ever make changes again (which they should. I'll explain in a moment), they should leave the logo alone. It is perfect the way it is.

Now on to the problem I have had with the Cardinals for a very long time. I HATE their uniforms. I can't stand the black piping on both uniforms. I loathe the away unis, as the red wraps around the shoulders and stops after the nameplates. Not to mention the side stripes, which I cant stand on any uni. The pants stripes are terrible. It is "bronco-esque" and it just shouldn't be there. I do like the little white "stripes" (if you want to call them that) just under the armpit. It looks so much better on the home jersey than it does on the away. Simply because the away uni is so much worse.

The unis they wore before those were so much better. They were simple, yet appealing. No, they aren't the best unis in the world but they sure as hell are an upgrade compared to their current ones. The home, red tops and white bottoms were my favorites out of all of their unis. If they could take these designs, upgrade them, add a little Arizona feel to them, and keep their current logo, it would be perfect. These (below) for example. Back to a simple design with an Arizona State flag flare on the side shoulders. Don't love it on the pants, but it wouldn't be a big deal if it was.

My favorite player in team history is Larry Fitzgerald. An all-time great receiver, most likely Hall of Fame-bound, and unfortunately, he spent his entire career in a place that never got the talent around him to give him more chances at winning a championship. Which brings me to my favorite moment in team history. When Kurt Warner helped the Cardinals win the NFC Championship and head to the Super Bowl.

Whenever I think of the Cardinals, two things come to mind. After going to back to back Super Bowls with the Rams, Warner had a very rough road thereafter. After all those bad years, he comes to Arizona and the team just took off. It was great to see and it was a heartwarming moment. Unfortunately for them, they ended up losing in the Super Bowl. But it was a great moment nonetheless.

The second is Pat Tillman. The man left millions of dollars on the table to go and serve his country after the 9/11 attacks. Not many people would have made that same decision. He ended up losing his life but has been honored for his dedication, loyalty, and bravery ever since. RIP.
