In this series, I will be looking back on each NFL team and picking out my favorite logo, uniform, moment, and player in the history of that team. The first team will be the Denver Broncos.

My favorite logo in Broncos history is a tough one. I like the "D" logo and I like their current horse logo too. But by nitpicking, I have to pick the current logo as I don't like the design of the horse in the "D" logo. It's just not as visually appealing as their current horse. I like the simplicity of the "D" logo, and if it had a better-looking horse, like this concept by "Empery Designs", then I would have given it the leading edge.

For the uniform, this is also a tough decision. I am a guy who likes the "classics", but I am also objective. And though I like the classic look of the '80s uniforms, the current uniforms are better. They have a better design that fits the overall look of the team. But if you throw in the "throwback/color rush" uniform, it gives me another pause, simply because I can visualize what a full set of unis can look like in that style, and I really like that. However, as they are, they are just all orange, and while I like them, I don't think they beat the blue jersey with white pants of their current digs.

My favorite moment and player are all wrapped up in the same play. Super Bowl 32. Broncos vs Packers. All tied at 17 with under 2 minutes left to play in the 3rd Quarter. 3rd in 6 for the Broncos inside the Packers 15-yard line. Elway snaps the ball, he drops back, looks downfield, but only for a moment. The Packers D quickly breaks down the pocket. He steps up and scrambles to his right. He reaches the 10-yard line and sees 3 Packers closing in on him. A normal sane QB in his late 30's would have slid down to avoid being hit. Not John Elway. He ran right at them and when he got to the 7 yard-line he DOVE right into them! The collision spun him around in midair like a helicopter and landed at about the 3 or 4 yard-line picking up the first down! Whenever I think of the Broncos, I think of John Elway. And when I think of John Elway I think of Back-2-Back Super Bowl Championships and THAT play. It was awesome.

I hope you enjoyed my first edition of "My Favorite In Team History". I will be going through the other 31 teams in the league in the following weeks and months. If you have different favorites, especially favorite moments, let me know on twitter (@Summers_XFLBIG3). I would love to hear all of the cool moments that mean something to all of you!
