In this series, I will be looking back on each NFL team and picking out my favorite logo, uniform, moment, and player in the history of that team. Next up, the New Orleans Saints!

The Saints have basically had the same look and color scheme for the last 2 decades. There isn't much to it and in turn, it works really well. The logo is clean and represents the team and the city perfectly. There is no need to change it at any time in the future (except for a tiny detail which I will be getting to in a minute). The home uniform is the best of their primaries. The black on black is a great look. The away unis are okay, I like the white tops and black pants the best. But these are not the best unis they have ever worn. Why? I can not stand the "gold" color they wear. Much like the "vegas gold" of the Pittsburgh Penguins past, it is just so horrible to me. Of course, I could be in the minority, but there is such a better look they could have, and they have already gone 90% of the way there.

The throwback & "color rush" (which is basically the away version of the throwbacks) unis are the BEST unis they have ever worn. These are such beautiful unis and god I wish they would switch to them permanently. Keep the logo and helmet the way it is, except change the helmet to match the color of gold on the uniforms! Don't make it a flat color either. Do what they did for the Notre Dame football team when they turned their flat gold helmets into helmets that actually looked like gold.

Obviously you would make the gold on the helmets the same color as the gold on the unis, but this type of paint job on the helmets would look amazing! They would easily become one of the best looking teams in the NFL immediately. Just wear those throwbacks full-time and switch up the helmets as I suggested and BOOM! Greatness!

My favorite moment in Saints history is when they played their first game back in the Super Dome after the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina. It was a big moment for the people of that city and I was at home watching it live. The Saints forced the Falcons into a 4th down punt. Steve Gleason blocked that punt and it was recovered for a Saints touchdown. The Dome exploded. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up as the whole thing gave me goosebumps. It was something I will never forget. And I am sure Saints fans feel the same.

I don't think I have had any favorite players on the Saints outside of Drew Brees. How could you not love this guy? On and off the field he is a role model to so many. I am a believer that Tom Brady is the GOAT, but to not have Brees in the Top 10 of QB's of all time, you are delusional. Off the top of my head, with no real data behind it, just my quick thought of best QB's of all time, bias included:

1. Brady

2. Montana

3. P. Manning

4. Marino

5. Farve

6. Brees

7. Elway

8. Young

9. Kelly

10. Not Rodgers, I am sorry. He is overrated in my opinion.

But this is my bias list and a person or two could have slipped my mind. Obviously some will have a different #1, including Brees at the top, and that is okay. People need to not be so sensitive when it comes to things like this. Just because someone disagrees with you, doesn't mean you need to break out, rage and start slinging insults lol. It's okay for you or someone else to have a different opinion. EVERYONE has a bias, intended or unintended. There is no way for someone to not have one. Even if it is just a tiny bit. We are human. That is what makes everyone unique. Agree to disagree. That is my unintended advice for the day lol.

Overall, the Saints are a team with a very passionate fanbase. I believe with some changes to their uniforms they could be the talk of the "town". If you have different favorites, especially favorite moments, let me know on twitter (@ScottSummersJRN). I would love to hear all of the cool moments that mean something to all of you!
