Patriots Rumored To Get New Threads

All it is right now is a rumor, but that rumor is gaining some traction. So much so, Julian Edelman himself tweeted this:

As I said, it is just a rumor, but boy how happy would this make me. I am from Boston and the Pats are my hometown team (obviously). But I have downright HATED their current uniforms for as long as they have had them. I've only had one Pats jersey since the change, and it was a gift. I can't stand them. They don't make any sense to me. It looks like a jumbled mess. Feels like nothing "fits".

My favorite Patriots uniforms, however, were the ones they wore in the '90s, with the logo on the upper shoulders. Those were awesome. I actually had 3 of them. One blue, one white, and one black. I still have the blue one and wear it frequently. All Drew Bledsoe. Though I always wanted a Ty Law jersey in blue, I was never able to get one. I want the Patriots to go back to these, in a modernized way. I want the big logos back on the upper shoulders. I did love the lighter blue, but I don't mind the navy. I'm pretty sure they will be keeping the navy intact. But that is what I am hoping for IF the rumors are true and they do get new uniforms. It's tough to move away from a uniform when you have had success in them. But god these need to go. PLEASE let this rumor be true!

If they don't go back to those, which I know is a long shot, I hope they play more into the American flag with the design. The stars and stripes worked into it somehow. It doesn't have to be an overwhelming component, but I think it would be a really nice touch. I think with the Brady Era most likely over, it would be a good time to move the team forward. To make it known visually that this is a new team with a new direction.

Yes, I have enjoyed the success of my hometown teams. Yes, most of the Boston fanbase are scum and I myself can't stand them. Yes, I understand the Patriot hate. I can't stand Alabama Football, so I get it. Yes, they probably did "cheat", but so does every other team, they just so happened to get caught. If you don't believe other teams find a way to cheat you're an idiot lol. No, I am not a Patriots Die-Hard, though I do care for them. My hometown sweethearts are the Bruins.
