Today the Los Angeles Chargers revealed their "new" logo and logotype. As you can tell right from the gate, the Chargers have removed the darker blue color from their bolt logo. Leaving the beautiful "Powder Blue" and "Sunshine Gold" as they describe it on Chargers.com

The bolt itself has been touched up. It looks a lot cleaner and structurally sound. Just by the eye test, it seems as though the bolt doesn't have as deep an arc and I think that improves the look as well. Chargers.com details it as a "sleeker, more streamlined version of its old self". I said just the other day that I liked the years when the Chargers wore the blue lids and I hope they were going back to that. However, if you are telling me that the Chargers have dropped the navy blue and are gearing up to go all out with Powder Blue and "Gold" as they did back in the '60s, then these are going to be a sweet set of unis!

"Ultimately, when you have the best uniform in sports, the goal is not to reinvent the wheel with wild new design. You evolve it. You simplify it. You take what people love about it, and you make it even better" - Chargers.com

I never really would have complained about the Chargers logo. But I have to admit, after seeing this new one, the structure of the old one is SO annoying! That is how visually appealing the updated logo is to me. I think it takes someone who is into logos to see it, because I already see people in the comments, "It’s the same logo? Lmao", "Meh just different colors", "Bro this is so bad". Per usual, the ignorant like to comment on things they have no clue about. There are some in there who do see everything that has changed and loves it. But the majority only see the color change and most of them are happy about it. The rest of the bunch are the bums who came running just to continue bashing the Rams with the jokes everyone has seen 1000 times already.

The Chargers made minimal changes but it really made all the difference. Fantastic job guys. The NFL just got better looking once again! Now show me some unis!!
