Championship Hangover?

For those of you who don't know, the Triplets won the BIG3 Championship last season, it was the team's 1st season in the league. Lead by Coach Lisa Leslie and league MVP. Joe Johnson, the Triplets went 7-1 and took the BIG3 by storm.
In the BIG3's very first season, Trilogy ran the tables, 8-0, and won the first-ever BIG3 Championship. They followed that up in Season 2 by way of a 3-5 outing. In that same season, Power took command and also went 7-1, which lead to a BIG3 Championship. Last season, Season 3, they finished with a 5-3 record and got bounced in the very first playoff game, 50-42 by the 3 Headed Monsters. Though they did make the playoffs, barely, they just weren't the same team as they were the year before.
So the question is, will the Triplets have the same type of fall off as the first two BIG3 Champions did? Will Joe Johnson go from being league MVP and must-see TV, to J.A.G. (just another guy)? You could say that this team and that player are too good to fall into that trap. But I remind you, Trilogy went undefeated in Season 1. Then went 3-5 in Season 2, and 4-4 in Season 3.
That being said, it may not be a total drop off that causes the Triplets to take a drop off this season. Both Power & Trilogy has made moves this offseason and is looking real good. Former Killer 3's star, Stephen Jackson, signed on to coach the Trilogy this season. Also signing was Zach Randolph, who will co-captain Trilogy with James White and David Hawkins.
Power went and signed former Enemies player Royce White as a co-captain, with Cuttino Mobley and Glen "Big Baby" Davis. This makes Power and Trilogy a real contender for the BIG3 Championship this season.
