Run, Dallas! Run!

If the #3 Dallas Renegades just ran the ball, like they are good at doing, especially on that final drive, ESPECIALLY inside the 5-yard line... we could be talking about the 3-1 Dallas Renegades, who knocked off the unbeaten Houston Roughnecks. But instead, they are 2-2 due to boneheaded decisions. To throw a screen pass, inside the 5, when you have 2 really good running backs is just dumb playcalling. I have been yelling at my television for the last two weeks, telling Dallas to "just run the ball!!".

Landry Jones, the Dallas QB before he went out hurt last week, threw 3 interceptions and fumbled the ball which was scooped and scored. I don't know why people are so high on him. He has struggled all season long and I don't believe he is the answer. I don't believe passing is the answer at all for Dallas. But hey, what do I know. Just throw a screen pass inside the 5 and let it get picked again to end the game...

That being said, they are playing the New York Guardians, who are at #7 in my Power Rankings. NY looked okay in Week 1 but fell apart in Weeks 2 & 3. They didn't look all that better in Week 4, aside from the new QB Perez stepping in and running the offense much better than it had been, but they did get the W against LA. I don't think NY can beat this Dallas team. I don't think it will be a blowout, but it will be a decisive victory.

Despite my frustration with the Dallas offense. Their defense played so well. They really impressed me and gave me a reason to truly believe they deserved to be #3 in the rankings. Their run game and defense are what they do best, and if they utilize that game plan, they can surely be the best team in the league. NY doesn't have anything going for them, in my opinion, to even consider them a possible winner this weekend.
